We’re proud to craft wines that are equally at home at wine competitions or lazy days enjoying Hill Country views. Our Cabernet and Merlot wines are made from Lake County, California grapes (High Valley Appellation). These grapes are the product of ideal growing conditions: grown in red volcanic soil on a steep hillside at a 2000 foot elevation overlooking Clear Lake. After harvesting, the grapes are shipped in a refrigerated truck and destemmed and processed at the Kerrville winery.
The Cabernet and Merlot wines are aged in various combinations of French oak and American oak barrels at the winery. After bottling, we store our red wine for eight to sixteen months to allow the wine to properly age, soften, and allow the oak and fruit flavors to fully develop. We are pleased to be able to offer: 2006 Cabernet, 2007 Merlot, two 2009 Cabernet wines (Purple Cab and Gold Cab), 2010 Just Hangin’ Merlot and 2010 Texas Syrah (Cake Sera Sera). We are excited about our newest release, our 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon (Skyline).
The Blanc Du Bois is made from Texas grapes grown in the rich calcareous soils of Brenham, Texas. Our Blanc Du Bois is processed in stainless steel tanks (without oak barrels), to maintain ts crisp fruit flavors.
